One thing I truly appreciate when it comes to game dev (or anything really) is someone's dedication to their brainchild. ShatteredPD was built based on the open-source Pixel Dungeon by Watabou in 2014, and until the point of me writing this in 2023, it is still regularly updated with new content every couple months, still with unbelievably rich depth, still addicting (I have spent hundreds of hours on it and have not gotten bored), still completely free without ads.

This game will make you think it's impossible to win at the start because it's too luck-based, but after investing many hours, you'd begin to devise your own little tricks to make you die less often and realize it is not about luck at all.

It is not overly innovative nor artistic like most games here, but I think it deserves a recommendation for being so well built.
